Yesterday Jason posted about raising the tax on gas by $1.00/gallon.  His reason was that the increased tax would be invested by the government in developing alternative fuels and offering incentives for consumers to go green.  That is one option.  I propose a different option.

That’s right, I think the government should raise taxes. I believe taxes create incentives to do or not do something. For instance, in the case of income taxes, they incentivize people not to work.
