Yesterday, Treasury Secretary Tim Geitner and President Obama unveiled their plan to close tax loopholes which allow US multinational corporations to defer paying US taxes for earnings in foreign countries.  In addition, they outlined their plan to crack down on US citizens who avoid paying taxes by parking money in offshore tax havens.
