Saturday Night Live is so good at distilling political issues down to a few jokes and pointing out the absurdities those issues. This clip might be kind of long, and at times kind of crude (sorry), but it really does get a point across. We may get annoyed and laugh at the spending that our country is doing. But could you imagine viewing it through China’s eyes? They are the ones who have lent us all this money and, as the skit puts is, our country goes out and buys thousands of “clunkers” for $4,500 each? China should be very nervous about our ability to pay back $1 trillion.
