Screwed Again

I thought for once I might get something out of the wasteful government spending.  May this stimulus bill could be the Jason 2009 stimulus package.  I am in the need of a car and a house and this year might have been the year for both.  The package approved by the Senate contained a tax deduction for buying a car and for buying a home.  Both have been removed or pared back in the compromise bill that will eventually be signed by the president.  I guess I should know better and realize that nothing the government ever does helps the middle class.  They only hurt the rich and help the poor and union workers.  How do these people get elected?

I’m finding that I’m becoming super cynical towards any decision that’s made in DC. I’m having thoughts I used to scoff at, thinking maybe our new president really is a terrorist, trying to run our country into the ground. I’m feeling myself pulled more and more to the extreme conservative side, thinking I should head down to China town and pick up a gun, and start stuffing some money under my mattress.
Guess I’ve come a long way from being the little girl who wanted to live on a farm and give all her money to the poor. Now Obama’s trying to force me to do that!!
