I might not agree with all of Obama’s policies, but one thing is for sure. I’m excited for him to get sworn in as our president. It’s time we get out of this lame duck period and start moving forward with the government. I am in my last semester of college and am currently pursuing the job hunt. Many companies that traditionally make large recruiting pushes in the month of January are putting things on hold until President-elect Obama takes office and starts enacting policies. They are waiting to see what he does before they make their move. So we, the job seekers, must endure longer periods of anticipation as the recruiting season gets pushed back closer to the date of graduation.

I agree. Let’s move on with the show…and let liberals and Obama take the blame when things don’t go quite right. Of course, there’s probably some way to put the blame back on the Bush administration.
But yes, hooray for a new president. I’m excited to see what he can and will do.
The same goes for internships. Many have already suspended internships even though they may have extended offers.
